Starcross is a village on the West bank of the Exe Estuary in Devon UK
The Starcross History Society meets on occasional Saturday afternoons, from 3 until 5 pm in the Starcross Pavilion. The 2023 program proposed includes:
- World War 1 memorials in Devon
- Starcross History from medieval times - Henry VIII and the Courtenay family, the English Civil War, Brunel's Atmospheric Railway, Starcross Idiot Asylum and village life 1920 to 1960
- A visit to Powderham Castle
- A dramatic event from Burn the Curtain based around Captain George Peacock: inventor, explorer and designer of The Swan of the Exe which was a pleasure yacht in the form of a swan, launched in 1860
